We are thrilled to announce that we are partnering with the City of Sedona to celebrate America Recycles Day 2022.

The National Recycling Coalition created America Recycles Day was started in 1997. Each year, the President declares the day, encouraging Americans to commit to recycling. Since 2009, this day has been a program of Keep America Beautiful.

It is the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States! Held on and around November 15, America Recycles Day educates and encourages individuals on how to be more mindful of what they consume, where and how to properly recycle, and to pledge to recycle more and recycle right in their everyday lives.

Focusing on individual action, the day highlights the actions we can all take to collectively address the challenges facing our nation’s recycling system.

To Celebrate America Recycles day this year Sedona Recycles is offering free-to-the-public tours all day. Our intention is to provide the opportunity to learn about what we do at Sedona Recycles, help you better understand the lifecycle of recycled material, and answer all of your questions.

The details

Tour Schedule:

Who can take a tour?
Everyone and anyone! Whether you live in the area and recycle your household materials with us regularly or you’re visiting the area, you are welcome to participate in a tour. The objective here is education and community engagement!

Do I need to sign up for a specific tour time?
Glad you asked! No, you do not need to register in advance for a specific time slot. Simply show up a few minutes before the tour you’d like to attend so you can sign in.

What’s the parking situation?
If you’ve been to our facility before you know we have limited parking spots. So in a very America-Recycles-Day fashion, we’d like to suggest you walk, ride, or carpool to Sedona Recycles on this day.

What else should I know?
Please wear close-toed shoes if you are planning to tour the facility.

I would like to bring an entire class of students or all of my organization’s members for a tour. Is that okay?
It might be best to schedule a tour on another day so that we can accommodate your large group. But, if you are specifically looking to participate in a tour on this date in honor of America Recycles Day, please give us a call to let us know when we can expect your group on this day.

Do I have to pay to take the tour?
Nope! America Recycles Day tours, and all tours at SRI, are free to you. That being said, like all nonprofits, we are extremely grateful for donations if you appreciate the work we do at Sedona Recycles.
