Sedona Recycles is consistently working to accept more materials for recycling. Currently, the following materials are accepted at our facility and all of our drop-off locations:

Mixed Paper
(newspaper, junk mail, office paper, shredded paper [bagged], magazines, phonebooks)
No brown paper bags, cardboard, paperboard, or manila envelopes.

Cardboard
(corrugated cardboard, paperboard, brown paper bags, manila envelopes)
No waxed produce boxes, milk cartons, or soy milk/juice containers.

Mixed Plastics #1-#
(Rigid plastic bottles, cups, pots, plates, clamshell containers, etc.)
No plastic bags/film, styrofoam, or PVC pipe.

Steel Cans
(soup cans, empty aerosol cans, empty paint cans, small empty propane canisters)
No scrap metal or five-gallon propane tanks.

Aluminum Cans, Foil and Tins

Clear Glass Bottles and Jars
No plate glass, Pyrex, or mirrors.

Colored Glass Bottles and Jars
No plate glass, Pyrex, or mirrors.

Clothing,
Shoes, Toys, and Small Household Items
(All conditions acceptable)
Only available at select drop-off sites.

Polystyrene Foam Blocks – Sedona Recycles facility ONLY
Must be clean and dry
No polystyrene cups, trays, plates, or packing peanuts
Sedona Recycles also provides recycling of electronics, books, ink and toner cartridges, corks, and packing materials at our facility during business hours. Please do not leave these items at the drop-off locations. Battery Recycling is offered once a month.

Sedona Recycles does not accept:
- Plastic bags of any kind (please take to local grocery stores for recycling)
- Polystyrene foam cups, plates, and trays (packing peanuts, egg cartons, and packing blocks can be brought to our facility during business hours)
- Pill bottles (orange or red, plastic #5)
- Waxed cardboard
- Milk cartons, soy/rice milk cartons, or ice cream containers
- Scrap metal
- Plate Glass
- Mirrors
- Light Bulbs
- Paint
- PVC pipe
- Motor Oil
- Household chemicals
